Thomas M Hanahan

Tom’s primary practice areas involve commercial real estate development and project finance. He has experience with all major real estate asset classes and has been involved with projects in over half of the states in the U.S. His practice includes representing developers and investors in the acquisition, development, and disposition of commercial real estate projects and representing lenders on construction and permanent loans and loan workouts.

His real estate development practice includes involvement in all aspects of the ownership and capital structures, including joint venture relationships, private placement equity raises, common and preferred institutional equity raises, mezzanine financing structures, and conventional and program financing. His commercial lending practice includes representing lenders in construction and permanent financings, including single bank deals, syndications and participations, and loan workouts and foreclosures. His real estate finance practice has been national in scope, representing national and regional lenders. He has experience in financing all major asset classes, including hospitality, multifamily, office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, condominiums, residential, commercial subdivisions, and golf courses.
