Recognized as an innovative Trial Lawyer by The National Law Journal, Thomas Rohback has won numerous jury trials in state and federal courts throughout the United States. At one point, he tried three cases in three months – and obtained directed verdicts in each. Valued for his skill in simplifying complex issues, he has often been brought in to replace counsel in cases going to trial. In one case, Tom was brought in to try a certified class action to a jury verdict where plaintiffs had claimed over $100 million in actual damages and sought quadruple punitive damages. Tom has tried to verdict multimillion dollar director and officer claims on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. His cases cover a wide range of issues, including antitrust, insurance, corporate raiding, breaches of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, unfair trade practices, tortious interference, fraud, intellectual property, employment discrimination, and defense of law firms sued for malpractice. Tom represents corporate clients in class actions, arbitrations, and multidistrict litigation (MDLs). In one such case, he proactively – and successfully -- moved to have class certification denied prior to expert discovery and before plaintiffs ever filed their motion to have the class certified.
