Career

Jason Quintero's practice focuses on all aspects of construction litigation, with an emphasis on lien and bond law and construction defect disputes. Jason represents a variety of clients involved in every aspect of the construction industry, including large-scale national homebuilders, general contractors, suppliers and lessors, and manufacturers of equipment used in the construction of large-scale projects, including the construction of power plants, stadium and civic centers, and road construction.

Jason has represented clients in matters pertaining to: contract disputes with subcontractors; defective construction claims; mold remediation; and zoning and boundary disputes. He also has experience representing design professionals in matters pertaining to breach of contract and claims of professional negligence. He has extensive trial and alternative dispute resolution experience, representing a variety of clients at trial, mediation, and arbitration proceedings. He is board certified in construction law by the Florida Bar, and OSHA 30 certified.

Jason serves as the Tampa office managing shareholder.

Sprint Sols., Inc. v. Cell Xchange, Inc., 49 F. Supp. 3d 1074 (M.D. Fla. 2014).

Florida counsel in various lien and bond matters for nation’s largest lessor and distributor of industrial cranes and related services; recovered more than $1 million for the client.

Represented disaster remediation company in breach of contract action relating to work performed for homeowners association in Indian River County, Florida; litigated matter to trial, recovering plaintiff’s verdict.

Represented disaster remediation contractor in prosecution of lien claim in excess of $1 million related to 2009 Iowa floods.

Represented national homebuilder in matters pertaining to defective construction claims relating to installation of sprinkler system in homes.

Represented national homebuilder in matters pertaining to mold remediation in multiple homes located in a residential community constructed by the homebuilder.

Represented homeowners association in construction defect claim arising from defective design and construction of seawall retention system; recovered full cost incurred for repair and remediation.

Represented Texas-based disaster remediation contractor in lien claim in excess of $800,000 relating to work performed following Hurricane Ivan in 2004.

Represented individual homeowner in construction defect case relating to improper construction of EIFS system; recovered full amount for replacement of EIFS system and related damages.
