Practice Areas
Sven advises on internal investigations, as well as investigations conducted by German and foreign, primarily Anglo-American, criminal prosecution and regulatory authorities into potential compliance violations. Sven also manages compliance due diligence projects and issues of liability for members of corporate bodies due to personal misconduct or management failure. As a thought leader in the use of Generative AI in internal investigations, Sven has published scientific work on the subject and driven the development of Hengeler Mueller's innovative Generative AI-based eDiscovery solution „HM Argus“. Additionally, Sven advises companies and their corporate bodies worldwide on all relevant aspects of risk, such as the structuring, introduction, or review of group-wide compliance governance programs.
Career
Sven joined Hengeler Mueller in 2005 and has been partner since 2011. He holds an LL.M. degree (Berkeley) and a PHD from the University of Mainz (Dr. iur.) and is admitted as Attorney-at-Law (New York). Sven is an executive editor of the Neue Zeitschrift für Gesellschaftsrecht (NZG). He has authored over 100 articles and book chapters.
