Susanne Schreiber is a partner at Bär & Karrer AG and co-head of the tax department.
Susanne Schreiber has extensive experience in national and international M&A transactions and restructurings. In particular, she advises on all tax aspects of financing, acquisition structuring, as well as capital market transactions and restructurings. She works on transactions on both the sale- and buy- side, for private equity clients as well as multinational companies or individuals, and advises on due diligence, pre-deal structuring, carve-outs, and post-merger integration from a tax perspective.
In addition, Susanne Schreiber regularly supports Swiss and multinational companies with their tax planning, such as restructurings, financing, and in tax disputes.
Susanne Schreiber is a lawyer and tax advisor as well as a certified Swiss tax expert. Before joining Bär & Karrer, she worked for an international law firm in Germany and for a Big Four company in Zurich, where she headed the Swiss M&A tax team.
She regularly lectures on tax-relevant topics in the area of M&A/corporate tax law and publishes articles and commentaries in the field of taxation. She is an officer of the IBA Tax Committee, a member of the examination board for certified Swiss tax experts and a member of the tax commission of EXPERTSuisse.
