Stewart M. Robertson is co-head of S&C’s global Project Development & Finance Group and a member of S&C’s Energy & Natural Resources Group. Mr. Robertson has more than 35 years of experience advising clients on major transactions in emerging markets. He has particular expertise advising on complex mining and metals, oil and gas and other natural resource projects.
Mr. Robertson’s experience includes negotiating investments, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, restructurings, foreign investments and commercial arrangements among sponsors and host countries and related disputes, and negotiating financing agreements with commercial banks, underwriters, rating agencies, ECAs and MLAs. Clients value Mr. Robertson’s deep knowledge of precedent setting structures, as well as his strong commercial sense and ability to advise from a business perspective.
