Practice Areas
Steven Stuart's practice covers business, construction, energy, environmental, and government contract law. He advises and represents owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and sureties during public or private projects and through the dispute resolution process. He is experienced with project risk assessment and management, negotiation and drafting of project documents, bid protests, and claim and dispute preparation and representation involving contract balances, acceleration, delay damages, industrial and power equipment acceptance and installation, performance and payment bonds, and insurance policies. He also provides counsel for commercial real estate and development transactions.
Steven spent several years leading the Southeast operations of a national ENR 400 general contractor from Atlanta and previously managed the construction of multi-million dollar commercial and residential projects in the Washington, D.C. area. Steven is a LEED-AP and Project Management Professional (PMP).
Steven earned his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management. He was selected for The National Order of Barristers as one of the top ten graduates of his law school class in recognition of his oral and written advocacy.
