Career
Allison's primary area of practice is construction contract draft and construction litigation. She works extensively on drafting and negotiating AIA and DBIA agreements to suit specific client and project needs. During construction, Allison advises on issues that may arise, such as payment and contract interpretation disputes, to resolve them before the parties engage in formal dispute resolution. Allison has an in-depth understanding of mechanic’s lien statutes, which translates to success for her clients in bringing and defending mechanic’s lien claims. Allison is particularly knowledgeable in construction risk management, including indemnification provisions and state-specific statutes, as well as insurance provisions and requirements that impact contractual risk transfer. With a strong background in public procurement, Allison has experience litigating construction disputes before the D.C. Contract Appeals Board, the Armed Services and Civilian Boards of Contract Appeals, and the United States Court of Federal Claims.
Her clients include Fortune 500 investment banks, international hospitality companies, and specialized regional commercial real estate developers.
