Practice Areas

Stephanie Walter is a Counsel and member of Bär & Karrer's financial services department, internal investigation and cross-border proceedings team as well as the fintech practice group. Her practice focuses on banking, asset management and investment funds, fintech, insurance, internal and regulatory investigations, enforcement proceedings, white-collar crime and M&A transactions. She frequently represents clients in proceedings before the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and proceedings initiated by the US Department of Justice, the New York Department of Financial Services and other US or European authorities.

Admitted to the Swiss bar in 2015, Stephanie brings over 10 years of extensive experience in advising banks, asset managers and other financial services providers in obtaining regulatory licenses and approvals.
