Career

Stefan is Head of our Construction and Engineering Team and is based in our Cambridge office.

He qualified as a Solicitor in September 2006, joined Birketts in 2010 and was promoted to Partner in June 2016.

Stefan has a wide range of experience working on non-contentious construction matters. He acts for a variety of both public and private sector clients, including further and higher education colleges, academies, local authorities and NHS Trusts, as well as funders, developers, contractors, sub-contractors and consultants. He advises on industry standard form contracts (such as JCT, ICE, NEC, GC/Works, ACE, RIBA, RICS), as well as regularly preparing and advising on bespoke forms of contract.

Stefan is experienced in advising on renewable energy projects, with particular interests and experience in anaerobic digestion projects and onshore wind schemes.

Stefan also has a specialism in acting for both borrowers and lenders on the construction aspects of real estate finance transactions.
