Sivapong Viriyabusaya

Sivapong Viriyabusaya co-heads the Insurance Practice Group and is a partner in the Corporate & Commercial, Insurance, Real Estate, and Hotel/Resort & Property Development Practice Groups at Baker McKenzie's Bangkok office. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions, focusing on the insurance, power and projects, real estate, automotive, and Food & Beverage sectors. His areas of practice include corporate law, joint ventures, commercial contracts, insurance law, trade competition, hotel and property development, natural resources, and environmental regulations. He is well recognized in the insurance industry, having assisted over 80 percent of multinational insurance operators with mergers and acquisitions, entire business transfers, amalgamations, joint ventures and the increase of foreign shareholding among operators. He has assisted local and foreign companies with some of the country's largest transactions, including assisting foreign operators with entry into Thailand and local business divestments.
