Simon Pulman

Pryor Cashman Partner Simon Pulman, co-chair of the firm’s Media + Entertainment Group, is one of the leading company-side entertainment lawyers in the country. Simon focuses his practice on studio business affairs for leading entertainment companies, including Chernin, wiip, Blumhouse, Skybound, Likely Story and Sister. He regularly acts as outside business affairs counsel, negotiating a full spectrum of development, financing, production, licensing, and distribution agreements on behalf of clients. Simon is valued for his intricate knowledge of film and television dealmaking (including complex profit participation formulae), balanced temperament, and ability to navigate politically charged negotiations. He is an industry leader in structuring streaming deals, including license and co-production agreements with all of the major streaming platforms.

Simon is also arguably the leading voice on transmedia rights deals and the adaptation of video game properties into film and TV. His knowledge and insight into the film, TV, and gaming industries give him a singular ability to guide and navigate enormously tricky deals involving gaming IP. Simon’s work for DJ2, Story Kitchen, and others has allowed him to work with gaming companies all over the world, from Europe to Japan.
