Silvia Paternain

Silvia heads our Tax group in Spain. She led the Freshfields Global Tax Practice Group between 2012 and 2016. She specializes in corporate cross-border transactions and structured finance. Her client base includes all major investment banks and financial institutions, as well as corporates and real estate funds. Her background in corporate, finance and her commercial approach to deals enables her to advise on the most sophisticated finance and corporate structures. She represents clients in major tax audits and in the subsequent litigation.

She is the relationship partner of the largest real estate investment firm in Spain, Azora, whom she has advised throughout its business life.
