Shepard Liu is a partner in Milbank’s Beijing office and a member of the firm’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group. Shepard regularly represents sponsors, lenders and export credit agencies across Asia, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. His expertise spans sectors including, renewable and conventional power, energy and natural resources, petrochemical, transportation and social infrastructure. Shepard is sought out for the depth of his experience advising and working across from Chinese state-owned entities, Chinese financial institutions, developers, investors and credit providers on a wide range of complex, first-in-country and first-of-a-kind project, acquisition and corporate financings across the globe. Shepard’s experience also includes advising Chinese and global clients on mergers and acquisitions. Shepard is a regular speaker at project development and finance events.
