Judy Tan’s major practice areas include banking and finance (with focus on aviation finance and leasing), all matters in relation to the aviation sector.

Judy has developed an in-depth expertise in aviation finance and leasing, where she advises domestic and international financial institutions, leasing companies, airlines, logistics and transportation enterprises, etc. Judy has participated in various sale and purchase, disposal, financing and leasing of aircraft, simulators, engines and other aviation equipment. These transactions involve various types of aircraft (including Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, corporate jet and helicopters) and simulators, engines and various types of aviation equipment.

Judy regularly advises domestic and international financial institutions on all types of aircraft leasing and financing arrangements, including structured leasing and financing arrangements covering PDP financing, operating lease, finance lease, sale and lease back, aircraft asset backed securitization, PRC domestic tax leases, Japanese operating lease (JOL), French tax leases, ECA-backed financing, US Ex-Im financing, etc. Judy also advises on the sale, purchase and management of corporate jet.

Before joining Fangda Partners, Judy has worked at a prominent PRC law firm. Judy has also worked at Civil Aviation Administration of China and Hong Kong offices of several elite international law firms.
