Shane Morganstein

Shane is an avid technologist practicing in BLG's corporate commercial group. Shane is a breach coach to organizations managing complex cybersecurity incidents, and regularly advises his clients on compliance with Canadian privacy laws, and in negotiating commercial and technology agreements.

Shane is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/C) who routinely acts as a cybersecurity breach coach, helping public and private sector organizations respond to catastrophic ransomware events, cyber extortion incidents, and sensitive data theft.

He also advises his clients on a wide variety of corporate and privacy matters, including by drafting technology and SaaS contracts, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and advising on compliance with provincial and federal privacy laws.

Shane regularly speaks and publishes on emerging cybersecurity and technology trends. He summered and articled with BLG before returning as an associate.
