Career

Selva del Carmen Quintero Marrone has been part of the Galindo, Arias and López team since 2001, practicing in the Litigation and Arbitration and Regulatory groups.

As part of the Litigation and Arbitration team, Ms. Quintero has specialized in civil, constitutional and contentious-administrative litigation, as well as in administrative procedures before various public institutions, mainly in procedures before the National Authority of Public Services (ASEP), including the representation of multinationals in arbitration proceedings for public services.

As part of the Regulatory team, she generally answers questions related to regulatory issues in electricity and telecommunications.

Before joining the Firm, she provided her services, ad-honorem, at the Public Defender Institute (attached to the Judicial Branch), now the Public Defense Institute (1999); Likewise, she was assistant, ad-honorem, of the Commissioner for the Coordination of Penitentiary Activity (Supreme Court of Justice – 1999) and Assistant of the Third Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice, for Administrative Litigation (1999-2001). Currently, in addition to her private practice at Galindo, Arias y López, she is a professor of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and a facilitator at the Training Center of the Office of the Attorney General and the Institute for Legal Study and Research (INEJ).

In 2015, she was declared by the Ministry of Government, as suitable for the position of Magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice and in 2016, she was appointed by the Executive Branch as a member of the codifying commission for the preparation of the preliminary draft of the Administrative Litigation Procedure Code.
