Career
Sebastian Lukic is a partner at Schoenherr. He has been with Schoenherr since 2016 and his areas of practice are arbitration (commercial and investment), EU law and public international law. Sebastian graduated from the University of Graz (Mag. iur. 2016) as a first-ranked graduate. In recognition of his academic achievements, he was granted the Honorary Award (State Award) of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy for the best master's degrees in Austria (Würdigungspreis). In 2020, he graduated from the University of Oxford (MJur), where he focused on public international law and dispute resolution. He was awarded the Winter Williams Prize in International Economic Law, and the Clifford Chance Award (Proxime Accessit) for the Second Best Performance in the MJur. He regularly publishes articles on public international law issues. Most recently (September 2021), he published a paper on EU law and arbitration in the Cambridge International Law Journal. Before joining Schoenherr, Sebastian was a teaching and research assistant at the Department of European Law (2012 - 2015) and, in parallel, the Department of Civil Law (2013 - 2015) of the University of Graz.
