Scott Schardt’s practice is focused on regulatory and transactional matters affecting healthcare providers and suppliers, including service as a Legal IRO for entities under a Corporate Integrity Agreement with the Office of Inspector General, Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute compliance, managing and directing compliance investigations, Medicare provider enrollment and reimbursement, 501(a) physician employment organizations, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare facility and provider licensing. In addition, Scott regularly advises healthcare providers in connection with mergers and acquisitions and joint venture formation.
Scott has experience as in-house counsel to health system clients and has become well acquainted with the unique concerns of managing a healthcare organization.
He formerly served as the chairman of the Dallas Bar Association Health Law Section and is a member of and author for the American Health Law Association.
