Scott Chenevert is a partner in Fishman Haygood's Business Section with 28 years of professional experience. He practices primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt investments, joint ventures, energy-as-a-service, and corporate governance.
Scott has represented private and public companies in technology and professional services, energy and oilfield services, and real estate development industries. Scott also has extensive experience serving as outside general counsel for privately held and family companies.
Scott serves as chair of the board of directors of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge. Scott is also a member of, and served as the 2023 chair for, the Southeast Louisiana (SoLA) Super Region Committee. He also previously served as a member of the board of directors of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber from 2006-2013, serving as its chairman in 2012.

• Bernhard Capital Partners in its acquisition of Brailsford & Dunlavey.
• H&E Equipment Services, Inc. in its acquisitions of One Source Equipment Rental, Precision Rentals, Giffin Equipment and Lewiston Rental, the sale of its Komatsu earthmoving distributorship to Waukesha-Pearce Industries, LLC, and its acquisition of the equipment rental assets of Giffin Equipment.
•Danos in its acquisitions of Performance Energy Services from Quanta Services, and Wood’s offshore labor supply operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
• Shobe & Associates in its sale to Carson Wealth.
