Sarah specialises in providing legal and strategic advice on mergers and acquisitions as well as financing rounds for venture capital investments, with an emphasis on international and transatlantic transactions. As a Partner, she builds bridges between the US and Spain by facilitating the path for US venture capital or private equity funds to invest in Spain, and also advises Spanish emerging companies that want to internationalise. She helps to minimise legal and cultural barriers for international clients who want to enter the Spanish market or for Spanish clients who want to operate in the US.
Career
Sarah Schwartz began her professional career in 2006 in the Chicago, USA office of McGuireWoods, LLP. In 2010, she obtained her law degree and bar recognition from the Madrid Bar Association, and worked in Madrid in the Legal Department of Jones Lang LaSalle and, in 2011, as a lawyer at Baker McKenzie. In 2014, she joined Amadeus IT Group, where she was appointed Senior Legal Counsel for M&A. In 2021, she joined Across Legal.
She holds a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law (2006), a Master of Arts from Middlebury College and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame.
