His practice includes intense activity in labour consultancy, and day-to-day counseling to both national and international financial, agricultural, and industry and service companies, focusing on labour and social security law (conflict prevention, collective bargaining and litigation), in which he has wide experience and knowledge.

Former Minister of Labour and Social Security of Uruguay between November of 2002 and March 2005.

Former Secretary of State of Labour and Social Security of Uruguay (2002-2005).

Representative of the Government Body of Directors at the International Labor Office.

Rector of the University of Montevideo (2009-2015).

Founder of IEEM (Business Studies Institute of Montevideo).

Consultant of the Inter-American Development Bank in cooperation projects with the processes of regional integration and harmonization of standards for free movement within Mercosur.
