Samantha Silver is ranked Band 1 in Chambers UK for both defendant product liability and for life sciences. Chambers 2026 says "her responsiveness is fantastic; she is exceptional as head of her product liability team.”

Samantha advises on a wide range of product-related matters, often in high-profile and commercially sensitive matters. She has led landmark cases that shaped the development of product liability law in the United Kingdom and the European Union. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2025, she headed the team that successfully defended the DePuy Pinnacle Metal-on-Metal Hip Litigation, a complex product liability group action culminating in a seminal judgment in the High Court (Gee & Others v DePuy International Limited), and the team that successfully defended medical device manufacturers in the UK Supreme Court (Hastings v Finsbury Orthopaedics Ltd (1) and Stryker UK Ltd (2)).
