Rob McNabb has more than 25 years of experience in construction law, with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors in the UK and internationally. Rob has advised on the construction, operation and maintenance of major infrastructure assets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Rob has a particular focus on energy infrastructure but has also advised on water, road, rail and port projects.
Rob has extensive experience guiding clients on projects involving new technologies or utilizing new procurement and financing structures. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2025, Rob was the lead lawyer on the procurement and construction of a number of first of kind projects, including the first utility scale wind project in Africa, the construction and financing of the first utility scale solar project in the Middle East, and numerous new clean thermal projects.
As well as leading on the construction of major infrastructure projects Rob provides strategic advice to clients in relation to their construction procurement and supply chain strategies issues as well as risk allocation and management, in respect of which Rob works with and supports a number of industry bodies and Government bodies.
