Sam Corbett is a partner in the firm's Belfast office. He specialises in all aspects of business recovery and insolvency related matters and has extensive experience acting for local and national banks, financial institutions, funds, creditors and insolvency practitioners.

Sam has acted on a number of high profile corporate restructurings in Northern Ireland in recent years. Sam is also an adept litigator and specialises in advising financial institutions and banks on financial services and insolvency related litigation.

Sam actively prosecutes and defends many litigation cases at the Commercial Court and Chancery Court in Northern Ireland.

•KPMG as special liquidators of IBRC - the largest, most complex insolvency on the island of Ireland

•Quinn Group on its €1.3bn corporate debt restructuring

•The Administrators of the Carvill Group, Taggart Group, Fultons and KPL Contracts

•Bank of Ireland, First Trust, Ulster Bank, Danske, Santander and Lloyds, on contentious litigation

•Distressed loan purchasers on variety of restructuring/enforcement matters

Sam is a Law Society accredited mediator in commercial and civil disputes. Sam also lectures and tutors at the IPLS on the Insolvency and Civil Litigation modules.
