Ryan Wessels is a partner in Bowmans’ Johannesburg office M&A Practice. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, corporate finance and securities law. He has a wealth of experience advising on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, significant public deals, private deals, black economic empowerment transactions and joint ventures. In the equity capital markets and corporate finance (ECM) arena, Ryan has advised on several initial public offerings, secondary listings, rights offerings and equity placings. During his career he has been seconded to Deutsche Bank AG, and practised at premier US law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. Ryan has an LLB and a Certificate in Law of Banking and Financial Markets.
