Ruth Promislow

Ruth Promislow practices in the areas of privacy, data protection and management, cybersecurity and fraud.

Ruth has over 20 years of experience in litigating complex commercial disputes in a wide variety of areas (including privacy, cybersecurity, fraud, reinsurance and professional negligence), with an impressive track record of success. Ruth has extensive experience with data protection, privacy and cybersecurity matters including regulatory compliance, cyber preparedness, breach response and related litigation.

Ruth is widely considered to be a thought leader in the data protection and privacy space. She is frequently asked to speak at Canadian and International conferences and seminars on issues relating to data protection, privacy and cybersecurity. Ruth is an active member of The Sedona Conference, participating in the drafting of highly influential legal papers on privacy matters. She was recently appointed to the Steering Committee of the Privacy Working Group of Sedona. Ruth is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Canadian Cyber Security Forum.
