Ruth Bloch-Riemer

Dr. Ruth Bloch-Riemer is a partner in Bär & Karrer's tax practice group. Throughout her more than 15 years of experience, she has gained significant expertise and recognition both as trusted advisor to private clients, their families and their ecosystem as well as a specialist in cross-border and domestic pensions and social security law, leading Bär & Karrer’s social security and pensions practice and focusing on transactional pensions work, C-level advisory and further employer-related social security and pensions topics.

Ruth Bloch-Riemer regularly publishes and speaks at conferences on tax and social security matters. She co-authored a large Swiss pension law commentary as well as a large Swiss inheritance and gift tax commentary, serves as an expert for the oral Swiss tax expert examinations and teaches i.a. within the University of Zurich’s LLM program on international tax law.

Chambers High Net Worth (HNW) 2022 ranks Ruth in Band 4 and she is acknowledged by Legal 500 2023 as "Next Generation Partner". Additionally, she has been awarded Gold as 'Lawyer of the Year, Switzerland' at the IFC Awards 2023 and the Euromoney Legal Media Group's Rising Star Award 2019.
