Adv. Roy Melzer is managing the computing technologies activity of the Ehrlich Group, focusing on drafting and prosecuting patent applications for various computer-related inventions, including cybersecurity, machine learning, Blockchain, database management, advertisement systems, image-processing-based inventions, digital health and medical imaging, parallel and distributed processing, telecoms, and internet-related patent applications.

Mr. Melzer's expertise extends to prosecuting patents in Israel and the US, developing IP portfolios for startups, and providing due diligence analysis and freedom-to-operate opinions. He employs up-to-date LegalTech tools and statistical analytic tools, including examiner decision data, to assist clients in securing patents.

The department serves R&D centers of international companies and many Israeli startup companies and entrepreneurs and handles hardware and technical implementations of business processes. Notable clients include IBM, Zebra Medical Vision Ltd., Cognata Ltd., Dynamic Yield, ART Medical Ltd., NEC Corporation Of America, Behalf Ltd., enSilo Ltd., SparkBeyond Ltd., and tech transfer organizations of Major universities and medical centers in Israel such as Ramot, T3, and Yissum Research Development.
