Robert Pinson leads the Adams and Reese Alcohol and Hospitality practice team, representing local and national clients across the industry. He works extensively with distilleries, breweries and wineries on licensing issues, especially where licensing plays a critical role in transactional matters. Rob’s background in tax and corporate law also provides valuable insight to clients with regards to corporate structuring, financing, and mergers and acquisitions in the alcohol and hospitality space. Rob has assisted clients such as grocery stores, convenience stores, and restaurants with licensing aspects during sales and acquisitions of one or a multitude of locations.
Rob is a founding member and general counsel of the Tennessee Distiller’s Guild, which advocates for the rapidly growing distilling industry in Tennessee. He also assisted with the formation of the Whiskey Trail, a group of more than 25 distilleries working to promote whiskey tourism in the state. Rob has also drafter numerous pieces of legislation to further the alcohol industry as a whole and allow businesses in Tennessee to innovate in their industry.
