Adams & Reese Counsel Ralph DeMeo has advised clients on environmental, land use, and administrative law throughout Florida and nationally. His environmental practice includes land issues, administrative matters, wastewater and solid waste releases, toxic torts, and brownfields, as well as real estate due diligence, condemnation, and construction defects. He represents clients before state and federal courts, as well as state and federal administrative agencies. Ralph is experienced in issues including Superfund/CERCLA, RCRA, FIFRA, CWA/NPDES, landfills, solar energy, agricultural lands, mines, and other contaminated property.
Ralph has a niche practice of animal laws, where he has represented animal welfare groups in civil litigation, and has helped develop many Florida and local government animal law regulations and ordinances. He has authored a chapter on "Animal Law: Lessons Learned from the Environmental Law Movement" in the law school text What Can Animal Law Learn from Environmental Law?
