Career
Richard has an extensive clinical negligence, inquest and personal injury practice and is regularly instructed in a variety of matters on behalf of both claimants and defendants (including NHSR, medical and dental defence organisations, healthcare providers, the MoD and MoJ).
Alongside his court work, which includes healthcare related, prison, Article 2 and jury inquests, he has considerable experience of attending conferences with experts and has a busy paperwork practice. He is regularly instructed on high value, complex and sensitive matters and his thorough preparation and attention for detail allows him to bring the best out of his client's case. He has experience of High Court clinical negligence trials, both as sole counsel and led by a silk.
