He acts across the real-estate sector for a large variety of investors and funders and has led teams acting on litigation all the way up to the Supreme Court. He is widely recognised as a leading individual in the market. In particular, and having historically acted for shale gas licensees (INEOS and Aurora) in the mid 2010s, he is now one of the leading specialists in energy-, infrastructure- and mining-related real-estate disputes and dispute-avoidance work, which remains a key growth area in the real estate (and real-estate disputes) area of practice. It is a space in which Richard continues to win and act on substantial mandates.
