Richard is the Global Group Head of Property at Pinsent Masons, having previously led the National Planning & Environment Team. In his current role, Richard is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Global Property Group and delivering its financial performance.
With over 20 years’ experience, Richard advises on many of the UK’s largest energy and infrastructure projects, including pioneering “first-of-their-kind” developments and climate change litigation. His practice spans onshore renewables—particularly solar—where he acts as lead advisor for major programmes. Beyond renewables, Richard is a leading consenting lawyer for emerging technologies such as carbon capture and storage and hydrogen, and he is also a key nuclear consenting specialist.
In addition to energy, Richard advises on infrastructure projects with a particular focus on aviation, guiding clients through complex regulatory matters.
