Renato Labi has wide experience acting in high value and international financial remedy proceedings and complex children disputes. He is instructed by trustees as well as high net worth individuals and their families.
Renato studied international history and politics at Leeds University and qualified as a solicitor in 1997. He spent a year as a commercial litigator before joining the family department of Bates Wells & Braithwaite in 1998. Renato joined Hughes Fowler Carruthers at its inception in 2001 and became a partner in 2005. Renato has been recommended as a leading individual in Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 for many years. Chambers 2016 described Renato as “hugely respected in the profession for being astute, sharp, diligent, committed and reliable”. Chambers 2017 said he is "an extremely bright lawyer with really good judgment". Renato is named by Spears as one of the top 50 family lawyers in England. He has lectured in the UK and overseas on various aspects of family law.
