Raúl Acosta focuses his practice on complex civil, commercial and administrative litigation, insurance and reinsurance disputes, banking and financial services litigation, commercial arbitration, constitutional proceedings (amparo), and the recognition and enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards.
He has substantial experience in insurance coverage disputes, civil liability claims, trust-related litigation and regulatory proceedings involving financial institutions. Raúl Acosta is a founding partner of De la Garza & Acosta Abogados, which he co-founded in 2017. He has more than 15 years of experience representing domestic and international clients in complex civil, commercial and administrative disputes, commercial arbitration and constitutional proceedings.
Before co-founding De la Garza & Acosta, Raúl practised at Arochi & Lindner and Martínez, Algaba, De Haro y Curiel in Mexico City and Monterrey. His experience includes insurance and reinsurance litigation, banking disputes, civil liability claims, regulatory proceedings involving financial institutions, and the recognition and enforcement of domestic and foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
Raúl has more than 15 years of experience in complex dispute resolution. He represents domestic and international insurers, reinsurers, banks, financial institutions, public entities and industrial companies in civil and commercial litigation, administrative proceedings, commercial arbitration and constitutional proceedings.
His practice covers insurance coverage and policy interpretation, civil liability, non-material and punitive damages, banking and trust-related disputes, regulatory proceedings, contractual claims, and the recognition and enforcement of domestic and foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
Raúl regularly leads case strategy, court proceedings, appeals and amparo actions, coordinates documentary and expert evidence, participates in hearings and conducts settlement negotiations. He has also acted as counsel in ICC and ad hoc arbitration proceedings.
