Rashid Bahar's focus is on cor­por­ate law and fin­an­cial mar­ket reg­u­la­tions. He acts on com­plex fin­an­cing (for lenders and borrowers) and on mer­gers & acquis­i­tions in the fin­an­cial industry. He rep­res­ents cli­ents in licens­ing and enforce­ment pro­ceed­ings before the Swiss Fin­an­cial Mar­ket Super­vis­ory Author­ity FINMA and oth­er author­it­ies. His clients include Swiss and for­eign fin­an­cial insti­tu­tions, asset man­agers, banks, insur­ance com­pan­ies as well as funds and their spon­sors. They look for his advice on a wide range of cor­por­ate, reg­u­lat­ory and com­mer­cial mat­ters.

Recent assignments include the representation of an international investment bank in the licensing of its branch in Zurich and the representation of various banks in FINMA proceedings related to unvoluntary data leaks. In M&A, Rashid advised Outbrain Inc. on the acquisition of video intelligence AG, Falcon Private Bank on the sale of its shares in Falcon Private Wealth Limited to ONE swiss bank AG and XP Inc. on the sale of its Swiss private investment and Wealth Management business.
