Peter Winkler

Dr. Peter E.J. Winkler is co-founder of our Vienna office, member of our management board and co-head of our practice groups Corporate + M&A, Banking + Finance and Capital Markets.

He regularly handles the most important M&A and finance transaction on the Austrian market. He also focuses on litigious situations and provides advice on crisis situations and compliance incidents.

He started his professional career with the international management consultancy McKinsey & Co. Inc. As a lawyer, he worked for Freshfields and Simpon Thacher & Bartlett.

Peter Winkler graduated summa cum laude from the Faculty of Law of the University of Innsbruck with a master’s degree and a doctorate in law. He also studied at the Université de Paris XII and at Harvard Law School, where he received his Master of Law (LL.M.) in 1998.

He is admitted to practice in Austria and New York.
