Career
Peter von Czettritz has been a partner at Preu Bohlig since 2007, where he specialises in advising on German and European pharmaceutical and medical devices law. He advises in particular on authorisation and certification procedures, third-party opposition proceedings and compliance issues in regulated industries. Previously, he was a partner at the law firm Harms & Melzer in Munich for almost 20 years.
He studied law and political science at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and at the Université Aix-Marseille III. In addition to his work as a lawyer, he is the editor of two specialist journals, a lecturer at the Universities of Augsburg and Marburg and a member of several specialist committees. His work is regularly recognised by industry rankings and awards.

Personal
Peter von Czettritz is one of the central established names in German and European pharmaceutical law. He has been advising pharmaceutical and medical device companies on all aspects of pharmaceutical, medical device, patent and competition law for over three decades. In addition to traditional advice, his practice also includes representation in contentious and administrative proceedings - with particular experience in authorisation and certification procedures as well as in third-party opposition proceedings at national and European level. He also specialises in compliance advice and product liability issues, particularly in the regulated environment.
Peter von Czettritz is editor of the specialist journals PharmaRecht and MedizinProdukteRecht and author of numerous publications. He is a member of several key industry associations, including the BAH Legal Committee, the BPI Committee for Substance-Based Medical Devices and the BVMed Medical Devices Law Network. In 2001, he was honoured with the PharmaRechts-Preis for his scientific work.
He is a lecturer for Drug Regulatory Affairs at the University of Augsburg and for Pharmaceutical Law at the Philipps University of Marburg.
