Peter Snell

Highly regarded as a recognized leader in franchise and distribution law in Canada. Specializes in Canadian and international franchise law, business transactions and devotes his practice to assisting franchise systems with Canadian and overseas expansion plans. Served as General Counsel to the Canadian Franchise Association from 2015 to 2019. Co-Editor of the American Bar Association’s Fundamentals of Franchising – Canada (2nd Ed. 2017). Served as a special advisor to British Columbia’s government in drafting BC’s franchise legislation. Enjoys assisting businesses focused on domestic and international franchising, licensing, product distribution, business law, and intellectual property/trademark law. Also assists franchise systems with corporate reorganizations, corporate governance issues, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and negotiating and drafting commercial agreements. Called to the bar in British Columbia (1996) and Ontario (2007).
