Career
Pedro Garcia is a recognized practitioner in the areas of contracts and transactional law (cross-border M&As), corporate, financings, regulatory and competition, with particular experience in the Mining sector. Pedro is the Head of the Mining Practice at Veirano Advogados. He brings extensive knowledge to client projects, providing expert counsel on local and cross-border transactions, negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements, M&As, financing and capital raising transactions (offtakes, royalties and streamings), regulatory, real estate and environmental issues for mining ventures. Mr. Garcia has been practicing for 28 years, including two years in big law firms in Lisbon and London. He holds post graduate courses from King's College in London and the Univesity of Lisbon. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the World Initiative of Mining Lawyers – WIOML for 4 years and a frequent speaker in mining law events.
