Paula Chan

Career

Paula is a Partner at BDBF with 12 years’ employment law experience. Paula advises senior individuals, partners and consultants from various sectors, including legal, financial and healthcare. She has particular expertise in whistleblowing, discrimination and sexual harassment cases.

Paula is a trusted advisor and negotiator. She negotiates new contracts and advises on issues arising during and at the end of employment. She supports clients defending performance and misconduct allegations, and challenges unfair treatment.

Paula negotiates high level employee exits and settlements, ensuring clients receive the best financial outcome whilst protecting their reputation. Her career highlight includes negotiating a substantial eight figure settlement on behalf of a client.

For those cases that fight, Paula is an experienced litigator and has acted in high value and complex disputes before the employment tribunal and High Court.

Paula is a member of ELA and sits on its training committee. Paula is a regular media commentator and has appeared on Sky News and ITV News, and has been quoted in publications such as the Guardian and Financial Times.
