THE FIRM Brahams Dutt Badrick French LLP (BDBF) is London’s leading specialist employment law firm. The firm’s partners include three of the Lawyer Magazine’s Hot 100 lawyers. The firm’s lawyers are drawn from top employment departments and have fought and won some of the highest profile employment disputes of recent years against a range of ‘magic circle’ opponents.

PRINCIPAL AREAS OF WORK Helping senior employees and partners to exit employers, partnerships and LLPs with appropriate compensation; and to negotiate terms on joining a new firm. Providing businesses with strategic and hands-on support for employment and partnership issues, including advice on day to day HR issues as well as handling major change projects and litigation.

CLIENTS Most of the firm’s individual clients are either employed at a senior level within financial services or are senior lawyers and accountants, partners or members of LLPs, doctors, management consultants or managers (sometimes board level) in industry. The firm does not act for bulge bracket investment banks or the major UK retail banks in order to ensure it remains conflict free and can act against them. The firm helps employers to find pragmatic and effective solutions to the toughest staff challenges they face so they can focus on building their businesses rather than employment disputes. When defending litigation is the best way forward, the firm is rigorous in support of its clients. The firm’s employer clients come from a diverse range of sectors including legal and other professional services firms, boutique investment banks, hedge funds, private equity firms, insurance, retailers, utilities companies, property investment houses, recruitment agencies, brokers and corporate financiers. The firm also advises LLPs and general partnerships.

Almost all clients come through personal recommendation.
