Paul has a substantial and flourishing sanctions practice. He has advised about Russian, Belarusian, Iranian and Libyan sanctions. He is frequently instructed in sanctions cases with a commercial aspect, including shipping, trust, banking and insurance matters. His cases often involve complex offshore financial structures. He has acted for clients in relation to OFSI licence applications and OFSI investigations. He has advised numerous solicitors firms on the effects of sanctions on their practices.
