Paul Van den Abeele is based in the Firm’s Luxembourg office. A member of Simpson Thacher’s Investment Funds Practice, he advises large-scale, global sponsors, financial institutions and asset managers across Europe, the US and Asia in relation to the structuring, implementation, and management of investment funds. His practice focuses on the formation of alternative investment funds, with experience across a range of asset classes including private equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate and infrastructure. His fund formation practice covers both closed-ended and semi-liquid evergreen offerings, includes multi-strategy platforms, as well as unregulated private funds and regulated private wealth products.
