Practice Areas

Paul is head of the department. He graduated from University College, Oxford with a BA in Jurisprudence in 1984 (MA 1991). After Law Society Finals at Guildford Law School, Paul trained with Slaughter and May in the City of London where he qualified as a solicitor in 1987. He joined Edwards Geldard (now Geldards LLP) in 1988 and became a partner in 1992.

Paul has in excess of 30 years commercial litigation and dispute resolution experience. He has particular expertise in handling high value, large and complex commercial disputes. His practice includes commercial contract, product liability, intellectual property, international, company shareholder, director’s duties, insolvency, civil fraud, sports law, competition and professional negligence cases. He is a CEDR accredited mediator and has written and presented extensively on dispute resolution issues.

He is a Past President of Cardiff and District Law Society and a director of Engagesport LLP. He is also a former director of Go Debt Limited and Wales International Business Council and sits on the legal committee for the Welsh Centre for International Affairs.
