Paul-Erik Veel

Paul-Erik’s litigation practice focuses on class actions, competition law, complex commercial disputes, and professional liability. His clients include major technology companies, financial institutions, professional services firms, pharmaceutical companies, retailers, and franchisors. He also routinely acts for physicians in a number of contexts, including in civil proceedings and regulatory matters. Paul-Erik has extensive trial experience in all types of cases, and he appears regularly before the Supreme Court of Canada and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Paul-Erik is an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto. As the lead of Lenczner Slaght’s Data-Driven Decisions program, he is also a strong advocate of using legal data analytics to inform the practice of litigation and achieve exceptional outcomes for clients. In 2022, Paul-Erik was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers by Canadian Lawyer.
