Jordana Sanft

Jordana is co-lead of Lenczner Slaght’s Intellectual Property group. A top-notch advocate, she is recognized on a national and global level for her deep expertise in all areas of intellectual property law, particularly in patent, trademark, and copyright disputes. Jordana is also particularly well known for her expertise in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, among others. She regularly acts in proceedings under the Patented Medicines (NOC) Regulations, patent impeachment and infringement actions, judicial review proceedings, and damages actions. She also works with clients concerning the protection and optimization of their intellectual property portfolios and enforcement of their intellectual property rights. Jordana has appeared as counsel in matters before the Federal Court of Appeal, Federal Court, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and specialized tribunals. Jordana is a registered patent and trademark agent. An active member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC); she has previously served as a Director of its Board and Chair of its Annual Conference Committee, and currently serves as Treasurer of the Executive Board. She also represents the National IP Bar as an appointed member of the Canadian Bar Association’s Federal Courts Bench & Bar Liaison Committee and an appointed member of The Advocates’ Society’s Artificial Intelligence Task Force.
