Patrick Hawkins

Patrick is a Partner in BLG’s Health Law Group. He is a civil litigator, specializing in health law and personal injury defence. He defends hospitals, healthcare organizations and employees in medical malpractice and class action litigation as counsel to the Healthcare Insurance Reciprocal of Canada. He acts as general counsel to healthcare organizations and regulated professionals, appearing regularly before the courts and administrative tribunals. He provides advice to clients in areas including privacy and cybersecurity, physician credentialing, quality of care reviews and adverse event management.
