Career
Paola has worked in law firms since 1995. She was the compliance legal manager for Coca-Cola between 2012 and 2017, thereafter joining the firm as a partner. Her extensive litigation knowledge and experience make her leader for the litigation practice area.
She holds a master's degree in Human Rights from the Rafael Landívar University and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Pro Bono Association of Guatemala on behalf of the Firm, a very important institutional initiative in the country.
She advises domestic and foreign corporate clients on the resolution of corporate conflicts both in and out of court. Her practice focuses on supporting corporate clients in the resolution of conflicts in the areas of commercial, civil, individual and collective labor, criminal (white collar) and administrative law. She has extensive experience in advising clients in the telecommunications, energy, retail
and tobacco industries, among others.
Additionally, she advises clients on compliance and data protection law, both in the implementation of compliance programs and personnel training, as well as the development of internal investigations procedures.

She has developed her expertise in the energy, tobacco and telecommunications industries. She oversees an average of 800
proceedings per month in all branches of litigation including civil, constitutional, labor and commercial.
Finally, she has advised clients in compliance law, an emerging area of law in Central America.
